Description

A rich and creamy Chocolate Tiramisu made with layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers, smooth mascarpone cream, and a generous cocoa and dark chocolate topping for an indulgent yet elegant dessert.


Ingredients

  • 300 g ladyfinger biscuits
  • 500 g mascarpone cheese
  • 250 ml heavy cream
  • 120 g granulated sugar
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 240 ml strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 40 g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 100 g dark chocolate, finely grated
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Brew strong coffee and allow it to cool completely.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the egg yolks with the granulated sugar until pale, thick, and creamy.
  3. Add the mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract to the yolk mixture and mix until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until light and airy.
  6. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.
  7. Arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish or pan.
  8. Spread a generous layer of the mascarpone cream mixture over the biscuits.
  9. Repeat the layering process until all ingredients are used, finishing with cream on top.
  10. Dust the surface generously with unsweetened cocoa powder and sprinkle with grated dark chocolate.
  11. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving to allow the dessert to set.
