Ingredients

  • Frozen dumplings: 500 g
  • Neutral cooking oil: 2 tablespoons
  • Onion: 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Garlic cloves: 3 cloves, minced
  • Carrots: 1 cup, finely diced
  • Bell pepper: 1 cup, chopped
  • Mushrooms: 200 g, sliced
  • Soy sauce: 3 tablespoons
  • Vegetable broth: 2 cups
  • Cornstarch: 1 tablespoon mixed with 2 tablespoons water
  • Black pepper: 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions: 2 stalks, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C and lightly grease a medium baking dish.
  2. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat, then add the onion, garlic, carrots, bell pepper, and mushrooms. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes until softened and fragrant.
  3. Stir in the soy sauce, vegetable broth, black pepper, and cornstarch mixture. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Transfer the vegetable mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Arrange the frozen dumplings in a single layer on top of the vegetables.
  6. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the dumplings are tender and lightly golden.
  8. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with green onions, and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
