Description

A playful and comforting sweet pasta dish made with tender bowtie pasta coated in a silky, creamy strawberry sauce that tastes like summer in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200 g bowtie pasta
  • 250 g fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • 200 ml heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 small pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until tender. Drain well and set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter until smooth.
  3. Add the chopped strawberries and granulated sugar, stirring gently as the strawberries soften and release their juices.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and vanilla extract, then reduce heat slightly and let the mixture simmer gently until fragrant and lightly pink.
  5. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring continuously, until the sauce thickens to a silky consistency.
  6. Add a small pinch of salt and stir to balance the sweetness.
  7. Add the cooked pasta to the saucepan and gently toss until every piece is evenly coated in the strawberry sauce.
  8. Serve immediately while warm and creamy.

Notes

  • Use ripe, fragrant strawberries for the best natural sweetness and color.
  • Keep the heat gentle when cooking the sauce to prevent the cream from scorching.
  • Serve immediately for the smoothest texture and freshest flavor.
  • If reheating, add a small splash of cream to restore the sauce’s silkiness.
