Description

A creamy and comforting bowl of small ring pasta tossed in a rich homemade Alfredo sauce made with butter, garlic, cream, milk, and freshly grated parmesan. This nostalgic twist on a classic delivers silky texture and bold cheesy flavor in every bite.

  • 12 ounces small ring pasta
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil over high heat.
  2. Cook the small ring pasta according to package instructions until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes. Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water, then drain.
  3. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  4. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant, stirring constantly.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and whole milk. Stir and let simmer on low heat for 3 to 4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Add the freshly grated parmesan cheese gradually, stirring continuously until fully melted and smooth.
  7. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  8. Add the drained pasta to the sauce and toss gently to coat. Use a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
  9. Sprinkle with finely chopped fresh parsley and serve warm.
