Description

Ingredients

  • 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (plus more for dusting)
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds, toasted
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Zest of 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix mascarpone, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon zest until smooth.
  3. Roll out puff pastry and cut each sheet into four equal squares. Score a ½-inch border around each square.
  4. Spoon a small amount of mascarpone mixture into the center of each square. Brush the edges with beaten egg and sprinkle sliced almonds over the filling.
  5. Bake for 15–18 minutes, until the pastry is puffed and golden.
  6. Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar and serve.
