Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together mashed bananas, melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, then gently stir in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing evenly.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let cookies cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and sweetness.
- Do not overmix the dough to keep cookies soft and tender.
- Chill the dough for 20 minutes if it feels too soft.
