Description

Ingredients

  • 3 medium ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas, then mix in melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
  8. Allow the bars to cool completely before adding frosting if desired.
  9. Slice into squares and serve.
