Description

Crispy waffle-cut potato chips coated in smoky BBQ seasoning, perfectly golden with a satisfying crunch in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons BBQ seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) or air fryer to 180°C (360°F).
  2. Slice the potatoes into waffle-cut shapes using a mandoline slicer.
  3. Soak the slices in cold water for 10 minutes, then drain and pat completely dry.
  4. In a mixing bowl, toss the potato slices with olive oil, BBQ seasoning, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  5. Line a baking tray with parchment paper or lightly grease the air fryer basket.
  6. Arrange the potato slices in a single layer without overlapping.
  7. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or air fry for 15 to 18 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  8. Remove from heat and let cool slightly to crisp up further.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

  • Dry the potatoes thoroughly to achieve maximum crispiness.
  • Avoid overcrowding to ensure even cooking.
  • Adjust BBQ seasoning to taste for more sweetness or smokiness.
