- 1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cups cooked white rice (for serving)
Instructions
- Set a large skillet over medium heat and let it warm up.
- Add butter and let it melt completely. Stir in garlic, paprika, brown sugar, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Cook for about 2 minutes until fragrant.
- Ensure shrimp are thawed, peeled, and patted dry.
- Add shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Let cook for 1–2 minutes without moving.
- Flip shrimp and cook for another 2–3 minutes until pink and opaque. Stir in lemon juice and simmer for a minute more.
- Turn off heat and sprinkle chopped parsley over the top.
- Serve over warm cooked rice and enjoy immediately.
