Description

A comforting, cheesy broccoli egg bake perfect for brunch or meal prep. It’s fluffy, flavorful, and packed with tender broccoli and melted cheddar.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 2 cups broccoli florets, chopped and lightly steamed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter (for greasing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a medium baking dish with olive oil or butter.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs and milk until smooth. Stir in salt, pepper, cheese, broccoli, and onion if using.
  3. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top with a spoon.
  4. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the top is golden and the center is set.
  5. Let the bake rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving warm.

Notes

  • Lightly steam broccoli before adding to improve texture.
  • Use freshly grated cheese for better melt and flavor.
  • Add herbs like parsley or dill for extra brightness.
  • Double the recipe for a larger crowd using a bigger baking dish.
