- 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups diced chicken
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, combine heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and dried oregano.
- Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the baking dish.
- Add the diced chicken evenly over the potatoes.
- Pour half of the cream mixture over the chicken and potatoes.
- Sprinkle some mozzarella and parmesan cheese over the layer.
- Repeat with the remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and cheeses.
- Bake for about 35 minutes until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven, sprinkle chopped parsley on top, allow to rest for 5 minutes, then serve.
Notes
- Slice the potatoes thinly so they cook evenly.
- Freshly shredded cheese melts more smoothly than pre shredded cheese.
- Allow the dish to rest before serving so the layers set nicely.
- Add vegetables like broccoli or mushrooms between layers for variation.
