Description

Soft, buttery slider buns filled with tender shredded chicken coated in sweet chilli sauce, layered with melted cheddar cheese and crisp lettuce, then baked until golden and gooey. Perfect for parties, game nights, or an easy family dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500 grams boneless skinless chicken breast, cooked and shredded
  • 1 cup sweet chilli sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 12 small slider buns
  • 6 cheddar cheese slices, cut in half
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 6 lettuce leaves, halved

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, sweet chilli sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until evenly coated.
  3. Slice the slider buns in half horizontally and place the bottom halves into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Spread the chicken mixture evenly over the buns. Layer the cheddar cheese slices on top, then add the lettuce. Place the top halves of the buns over the filling.
  5. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  6. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the tops are lightly golden.
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add a small amount of hot sauce to the chicken mixture.
  • Keep the sliders tightly packed in the baking dish to prevent them from tipping over.
  • Allow the sliders to rest before cutting to help the cheese set slightly.
