- 8 Hot Dogs, sliced into rounds
- 30 oz Canned Chili
- 2 cups Cheddar Cheese, shredded
- 32 oz Frozen Potato Tots
- 1/2 cup Yellow Onion, diced
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced hot dogs, canned chili, diced onion, and garlic powder.
- Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish and pour the chili mixture into an even layer.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese over the chili base.
- Arrange the frozen potato tots in even rows across the top of the cheese.
- Bake for 30 minutes until the tots are golden and the sauce is bubbling.
- Top with the remaining 1 cup of cheese and bake for 5 more minutes until melted.
- Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra crispy potatoes, spray the top with a bit of cooking oil before baking.
- Add jalapeños to the chili base for a spicy kick.
- Make sure potatoes are frozen when they go in the oven for the best texture.
