Description

Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds flank steak
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 jalapenos, sliced
  • 1/3 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 cup crumbled white cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill pan or skillet over medium high heat until very hot.
  2. In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Lightly oil the cooking surface if needed.
  4. Coat the flank steak thoroughly in the marinade and let it sit for at least 2 hours.
  5. Cook the steak for 4 to 5 minutes per side until nicely charred and cooked to desired doneness.
  6. Remove from heat and let the steak rest before slicing thinly against the grain.
