Description
Golden chocolate chip cookie fries baked until lightly crisp on the edges and soft in the center, loaded with melty chocolate chips and served with rich chocolate dipping sauce for a fun and irresistible dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups all purpose flour
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup chocolate chips
- ½ cup chocolate sauce for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix until fully combined.
- In another bowl combine the flour, baking soda, and salt then gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients to form a soft dough.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Shape the dough into long fry shaped sticks about 4 inches long and place them evenly spaced on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the edges turn lightly golden and the centers are set.
- Allow the cookie fries to cool slightly on the baking sheet so they firm up while remaining soft inside.
- Serve warm with chocolate sauce for dipping.
Notes
- Chill the dough for about 15 minutes if it feels too soft to shape.
- Keep the cookie fries similar in size so they bake evenly.
- Add extra chocolate chips on top before baking for a bakery style appearance.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
