Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9 inch pie pan.
- In a bowl whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl mix melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until fully combined.
- Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until a thick dough forms.
- Fold the chocolate chips evenly into the dough.
- Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pie pan.
- Bake for about 25 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the center remains slightly soft.
- Let the pie cool for about 10 minutes before slicing.
- Slice and serve warm.
Notes
- Use room temperature eggs for smoother mixing.
- Do not overbake, the center should stay slightly soft for the best texture.
- Press a few extra chocolate chips on top before baking for a bakery style finish.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgent dessert.
