Description
Juicy chicken wings roasted until golden and coated in a bright cilantro lime glaze with garlic, spices, and a hint of honey. Fresh herbs and citrus create a vibrant flavor that makes these wings irresistible for gatherings, snacks, or casual dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 1/3 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped
- 2 whole fresh limes, juiced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place a wire rack on top.
- In a large mixing bowl combine olive oil, lime juice, garlic, honey, chili powder, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper until well mixed.
- Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss until all wings are evenly coated with the marinade.
- Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack so heat can circulate around them.
- Roast for 35 minutes, turning the wings halfway through cooking, until they are golden brown and slightly crisp.
- Remove the wings from the oven and toss gently with the chopped cilantro and an extra squeeze of lime juice.
- Transfer to a serving platter and serve immediately with lime wedges if desired.
Notes
- Pat the wings dry before marinating to help them roast evenly.
- Allow the wings to marinate for at least 30 minutes for deeper flavor.
- Use a wire rack during baking to help the wings develop better texture.
- Add a pinch of cayenne if you prefer a spicier finish.
