Description

  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup powdered sugar (optional glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, beat butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add egg and vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Divide dough in half and roll each into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick.
  7. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon evenly over each rectangle.
  8. Roll each dough piece tightly into a log, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  9. Slice dough into ½-inch rounds and place on prepared baking sheet.
  10. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden.
  11. Let cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  12. Drizzle with powdered sugar glaze if desired.
