Description

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place an oven-safe skillet over medium heat, add the granulated sugar, and cook until it melts and turns amber in color.
  3. Stir in the unsalted butter and honey until fully combined and smooth.
  4. Arrange the apple halves snugly in the caramel, cut side up, and drizzle with lemon juice.
  5. Cover the apples with the puff pastry sheet, gently tucking the edges down around the apples.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and puffed.
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes.
  8. Carefully invert the tart onto a serving plate and serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
