Description

This classic chicken melt is the ultimate comfort sandwich, made with juicy shredded chicken, creamy mayo, sharp cheddar, and toasted bread grilled to golden perfection.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 4 slices sliced bread
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons butter (softened)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix shredded chicken, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, black pepper, and dried parsley until well combined.
  3. Butter one side of each bread slice and place them butter-side down on a plate.
  4. Layer the chicken mixture on two slices of bread and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Cover with the remaining slices of bread, butter-side up.
  6. Place sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 3–4 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula, until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  7. Remove from heat and let rest for 1 minute before slicing and serving.
