Instructions
- Place a saucepan over medium heat and allow it to warm gently.
- Add olive oil and minced garlic, cooking until fragrant but not browned.
- Crush the tomatoes by hand and add them into the saucepan along with their juices.
- Stir in dried oregano, salt, and black pepper, mixing everything evenly.
- Let the sauce simmer gently for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens.
- Tear fresh basil leaves and stir them in right before removing from heat.
