Description

Stacked with turkey, ham, cheese, lettuce, and tomato between perfectly toasted slices of bread, this classic club sandwich is a quick, hearty, and satisfying favorite that’s perfect for lunch or a light dinner.


Ingredients

  • 6 slices white sandwich bread, toasted
  • 4 oz cooked turkey slices
  • 4 oz cooked ham slices
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 large lettuce leaves
  • 4 slices tomato (about ¼ inch thick)
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp softened butter
  • Cocktail picks (optional, for securing)

Instructions

  1. Toast all 6 slices of bread until golden and crisp. Let them cool slightly.
  2. Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice. Spread butter on the opposite side of the center slice only.
  3. Place one slice of bread mayo-side up on a board. Top with turkey and a slice of cheddar cheese.
  4. Add a second slice of bread mayo-side down, butter-side up. Top with ham, lettuce, and tomato.
  5. Finish with the last slice of bread, mayo-side down.
  6. Insert cocktail picks into each corner, then slice the sandwich into quarters diagonally.

Notes

  • Use dry lettuce and thinly sliced tomatoes to avoid sogginess.
