- 6 slices white sandwich bread, toasted
- 4 oz cooked turkey slices
- 4 oz cooked ham slices
- 2 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 large lettuce leaves
- 4 slices tomato (about ¼ inch thick)
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp softened butter
- Cocktail picks (optional, for securing)
Instructions
- Toast all 6 slices of bread until golden and crisp. Let them cool slightly.
- Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice. Spread butter on the opposite side of the center slice only.
- Place one slice of bread mayo-side up on a board. Top with turkey and a slice of cheddar cheese.
- Add a second slice of bread mayo-side down, butter-side up. Top with ham, lettuce, and tomato.
- Finish with the last slice of bread, mayo-side down.
- Insert cocktail picks into each corner, then slice the sandwich into quarters diagonally.
