Description

Juicy, golden crab burgers packed with flavor and easy to make. Perfect for weeknight dinners or weekend cookouts, these are a crispy, creamy seafood twist on the classic burger.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lump crab meat
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 stalks green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 leaves lettuce
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • Potato chips, for serving

Instructions

  1. Chop green onions, slice tomato, and juice the lemon. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, egg, green onions, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.
  3. Form mixture into 4 patties and chill in the fridge for 10 minutes.
  4. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and add a little oil.
  5. Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
  6. While patties cook, lightly toast the buns.
  7. Assemble burgers with lettuce, crab patty, tomato slice, and optional extra sauce or mayo.
  8. Serve immediately with potato chips or your favorite side.

Notes

  • Chilling the patties before cooking helps them hold their shape.
  • Don’t overmix the crab mixture to preserve the texture.
  • For extra flavor, try adding fresh herbs or a touch of hot sauce.
  • Leftovers reheat well in a skillet or oven.
