Juicy, golden crab burgers packed with flavor and easy to make. Perfect for weeknight dinners or weekend cookouts, these are a crispy, creamy seafood twist on the classic burger.

- 1 pound lump crab meat
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 large egg
- 2 stalks green onions, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons Old Bay seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 leaves lettuce
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- Potato chips, for serving
Instructions
- Chop green onions, slice tomato, and juice the lemon. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, egg, green onions, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.
- Form mixture into 4 patties and chill in the fridge for 10 minutes.
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and add a little oil.
- Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
- While patties cook, lightly toast the buns.
- Assemble burgers with lettuce, crab patty, tomato slice, and optional extra sauce or mayo.
- Serve immediately with potato chips or your favorite side.
Notes
- Chilling the patties before cooking helps them hold their shape.
- Don’t overmix the crab mixture to preserve the texture.
- For extra flavor, try adding fresh herbs or a touch of hot sauce.
- Leftovers reheat well in a skillet or oven.
