- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
- 2 puff pastry sheets
- 1 cup cream
- 1 small diced onion
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet, melt butter and sauté diced onion and minced garlic until soft and fragrant.
- Stir in flour, then gradually add chicken broth and cream, mixing until smooth.
- Add shredded chicken, salt, and black pepper, then cook until the mixture thickens.
- Roll out puff pastry sheets slightly and cut into equal rectangles.
- Spoon the creamy chicken filling onto one side of each rectangle.
- Fold over the pastry and seal edges with a fork.
- Place on baking sheet, lightly brush with cream, and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle chopped parsley, let cool slightly, then serve.
Notes
- Do not overfill the pies to avoid leakage.
- Let the filling cool slightly before assembling.
