  • 4 chicken cutlets, pounded thin
  • 4 slices cooked ham
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Lay the chicken cutlets flat and layer each with one slice of ham and one slice of cheese. Roll tightly and secure with toothpicks.
  2. Set up a breading station with three bowls: flour in one, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs seasoned with salt and pepper in the third.
  3. Dredge each chicken roll in flour, then dip in eggs, then coat in breadcrumbs.
