Description

Crispy golden taquitos filled with seasoned beef and melted cheese, served with a creamy avocado dip that adds a fresh and tangy finish.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 10 small flour tortillas
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 2 ripe avocado
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 whole lime

Instructions

  1. Heat a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Cook the ground beef until browned, then add taco seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.
  3. Add cream cheese and shredded cheese to the beef mixture and stir until melted and combined.
  4. Heat cooking oil in a clean pan over medium heat.
  5. Spoon the beef mixture onto each tortilla, roll tightly, and place seam-side down.
  6. Cook the taquitos until golden brown on all sides, turning as needed.
  7. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  8. Blend avocado, sour cream, and lime juice until smooth.
  9. Serve taquitos warm with the avocado dip.

Notes

  • Warm tortillas slightly before rolling to prevent cracking
  • Do not overfill to keep them tightly sealed
  • Use medium heat to avoid burning the outside
  • Reheat in oven or air fryer to keep them crispy
