- 1 pound ground beef
- 10 small flour tortillas
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
- 2 ripe avocado
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 whole lime
Instructions
- Heat a large pan over medium heat.
- Cook the ground beef until browned, then add taco seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.
- Add cream cheese and shredded cheese to the beef mixture and stir until melted and combined.
- Heat cooking oil in a clean pan over medium heat.
- Spoon the beef mixture onto each tortilla, roll tightly, and place seam-side down.
- Cook the taquitos until golden brown on all sides, turning as needed.
- Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Blend avocado, sour cream, and lime juice until smooth.
- Serve taquitos warm with the avocado dip.
Notes
- Warm tortillas slightly before rolling to prevent cracking
- Do not overfill to keep them tightly sealed
- Use medium heat to avoid burning the outside
- Reheat in oven or air fryer to keep them crispy
