Description

Crispy gnocchi seared to golden perfection in garlic butter and topped with fresh herbs and parmesan. A quick and irresistible comfort meal with crispy edges and pillowy centers.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound potato gnocchi (shelf-stable or refrigerated)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Place a nonstick or cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and let it heat thoroughly.
  2. In a small bowl, combine olive oil and butter. Mince garlic and chop parsley in advance.
  3. Add olive oil and butter mixture to the hot skillet. Once sizzling, add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add gnocchi in a single layer without crowding. Cook undisturbed for 2–3 minutes until bottoms are golden and crisp.
  5. Flip the gnocchi and cook for another 5–7 minutes, flipping occasionally, until all sides are crispy.
  6. Remove from heat, sprinkle with parmesan and parsley, and toss gently to coat.
  7. Serve hot with extra cheese and herbs if desired.

Notes

  • Use shelf-stable or refrigerated gnocchi for best results.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan, or the gnocchi will steam.
  • Freshly grated parmesan melts better and tastes fresher.
  • Reheat leftovers in a skillet or air fryer to restore crispiness.
