Description
Crispy gnocchi seared to golden perfection in garlic butter and topped with fresh herbs and parmesan. A quick and irresistible comfort meal with crispy edges and pillowy centers.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound potato gnocchi (shelf-stable or refrigerated)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Place a nonstick or cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and let it heat thoroughly.
- In a small bowl, combine olive oil and butter. Mince garlic and chop parsley in advance.
- Add olive oil and butter mixture to the hot skillet. Once sizzling, add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add gnocchi in a single layer without crowding. Cook undisturbed for 2–3 minutes until bottoms are golden and crisp.
- Flip the gnocchi and cook for another 5–7 minutes, flipping occasionally, until all sides are crispy.
- Remove from heat, sprinkle with parmesan and parsley, and toss gently to coat.
- Serve hot with extra cheese and herbs if desired.
Notes
- Use shelf-stable or refrigerated gnocchi for best results.
- Do not overcrowd the pan, or the gnocchi will steam.
- Freshly grated parmesan melts better and tastes fresher.
- Reheat leftovers in a skillet or air fryer to restore crispiness.
