Description

A crispy and golden potato rosti with perfectly crunchy edges and a tender center, made with simple ingredients and cooked to perfection in a pan.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and grated
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan over medium heat and add butter and vegetable oil until melted.
  2. Place grated potatoes in a bowl, add salt and black pepper, and mix gently.
  3. Ensure the pan is evenly coated with the melted butter and oil.
  4. Add the potato mixture into the pan and press it into a flat, even layer.
  5. Cook undisturbed for about 10 minutes until the bottom is golden and crispy.
  6. Carefully flip the rosti and cook for another 8 to 10 minutes until the other side is golden.
  7. Remove from the pan, let it rest briefly, then slice and serve warm.
