  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 stalks green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Set your slow cooker to low heat to preheat.
  2. In a bowl, mix together orange juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger until well combined.
  3. Lightly grease the slow cooker and place the chicken thighs in a single layer.
  4. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken, ensuring it is evenly coated.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or on high for 2.5–3 hours, until the chicken is tender.
  6. Remove 1/4 cup of the cooking liquid and mix it with the cornstarch to make a slurry.
  7. Stir the slurry back into the slow cooker and cook for an additional 15–20 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
