Description

A rich and indulgent croissant smash burger with juicy beef, melted cheddar, fresh toppings, and a creamy tangy sauce all layered inside a flaky golden croissant.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large croissants
  • 300 grams ground beef
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • 2 lettuce leaves
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium high heat until hot.
  2. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and mustard until smooth and set aside.
  3. Add butter to the pan and let it melt evenly.
  4. Slice croissants in half and toast them lightly in the pan, then set aside.
  5. Place ground beef in the pan, smash it flat, season with salt and pepper, cook until crispy edges form, flip and add cheese until melted.
  6. Spread sauce on the croissant, add lettuce, tomato, and the cheesy patty.
  7. Close the croissant and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use high heat for a crispy crust on the patty.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan while cooking.
  • Lightly stale croissants hold structure better.
