Description
Juicy fresh strawberries dipped in silky milk and dark chocolate, then finished with crushed pistachios and crispy toasted kataifi for a luxurious Middle Eastern-inspired treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 500 grams fresh strawberries, washed and completely dried
- 200 grams milk chocolate, chopped
- 100 grams dark chocolate, chopped
- 50 grams white chocolate, chopped
- 60 grams kataifi pastry, finely shredded and lightly toasted
- 50 grams crushed pistachios, finely chopped
Instructions
- Lightly toast the kataifi pastry in a dry pan over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes until golden and crisp, then let it cool completely.
- Melt the milk chocolate and dark chocolate together using a double boiler method, stirring until smooth. Melt the white chocolate separately.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Dip each completely dry strawberry into the melted chocolate, coating about three quarters of the fruit. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
- Place the dipped strawberries onto the lined baking sheet. While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle some with crushed pistachios and others with toasted kataifi.
- Drizzle melted white chocolate over selected strawberries for decoration.
- Allow the strawberries to set at room temperature for 30 minutes or refrigerate for 15 minutes until the chocolate is firm.
Notes
- Make sure strawberries are fully dry before dipping to prevent chocolate from seizing.
- Use high quality chocolate for the smoothest texture and best flavor.
- Store in a single layer in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- Best enjoyed within 24 hours for maximum freshness.
