Description

A creamy and flavorful shrimp pasta made with Boursin cheese, tender penne, and a rich herb-infused sauce that comes together quickly for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 5 oz Boursin cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add shrimp and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side until pink, then remove and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, sauté garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Add heavy cream and Boursin cheese, stirring until fully melted and smooth.
  7. Return shrimp to the skillet, then add cooked pasta and toss to coat evenly.
  8. Stir in parmesan cheese, basil, salt, and black pepper.
  9. Serve warm with extra herbs and cheese if desired.

Notes

  • Do not overcook the shrimp to keep them tender.
  • Reserve some pasta water to adjust the sauce consistency if needed.
  • Freshly grated parmesan melts better and enhances flavor.
