- 12 oz penne pasta
- 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 5 oz Boursin cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add shrimp and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side until pink, then remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add heavy cream and Boursin cheese, stirring until fully melted and smooth.
- Return shrimp to the skillet, then add cooked pasta and toss to coat evenly.
- Stir in parmesan cheese, basil, salt, and black pepper.
- Serve warm with extra herbs and cheese if desired.
Notes
- Do not overcook the shrimp to keep them tender.
- Reserve some pasta water to adjust the sauce consistency if needed.
- Freshly grated parmesan melts better and enhances flavor.
