Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-size pieces
- 2 cups elbow macaroni (dry)
- 1½ cups white cheddar cheese, shredded
- ½ cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1¼ cups heavy cream
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon white truffle oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper, freshly cracked
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- In a saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add heavy cream, then whisk in white cheddar and parmesan until melted and smooth.
- Boil macaroni just shy of al dente, then drain and fold into cheese sauce.
- Grease a baking dish or oven-safe skillet and pour in mac and cheese.
- Melt remaining butter in a separate skillet and sear steak bites in batches until browned and slightly pink inside.
- Nestle steak into mac and cheese. Drizzle with truffle oil and sprinkle with parsley.
- Broil for 2–3 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
- Serve hot, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
Notes
- Don’t overcrowd the pan when searing steak for best crust.
- Use freshly grated cheese for smoothest melting.
- Truffle oil is strong — start with a small drizzle and adjust to taste.
- Add a bit of milk when reheating to restore creaminess.
