Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the gluten-free flour, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are just set.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Chill the dough for 20 minutes if the dough feels too soft to help control spreading.
  • Remove cookies when centers look slightly underbaked, they will firm up as they cool.
  • Measure gluten-free flour carefully to avoid dry cookies.
  • Press extra chocolate chips on top before baking for a bakery-style finish.
