Description

Soft, buttery, and bursting with fresh herb and garlic flavor, these pull-apart buns are the perfect side for any meal or a comforting snack on their own.


Ingredients

  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 1 large egg
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a round or square baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy. Add 2 tbsp melted butter, egg, salt, and flour. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. Lightly oil the baking pan and set aside.
  4. Divide the dough into 12–15 equal pieces. Roll into balls and place close together in the prepared pan.
  5. Cover with a towel and let rise for 30–45 minutes until puffy. Bake for 18–22 minutes until golden brown.
  6. While baking, melt remaining 3 tbsp butter with garlic, parsley, and chives. Brush over hot buns after baking.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

  • Use fresh herbs for the best flavor and aroma.
  • Reheat leftovers in foil at 300°F for 10 minutes.
  • Dough can be made ahead and refrigerated overnight.
