Soft, buttery, and bursting with fresh herb and garlic flavor, these pull-apart buns are the perfect side for any meal or a comforting snack on their own.

- 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm milk
- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 1 large egg
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a round or square baking pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy. Add 2 tbsp melted butter, egg, salt, and flour. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Lightly oil the baking pan and set aside.
- Divide the dough into 12–15 equal pieces. Roll into balls and place close together in the prepared pan.
- Cover with a towel and let rise for 30–45 minutes until puffy. Bake for 18–22 minutes until golden brown.
- While baking, melt remaining 3 tbsp butter with garlic, parsley, and chives. Brush over hot buns after baking.
- Let cool slightly before serving warm.
Notes
- Use fresh herbs for the best flavor and aroma.
- Reheat leftovers in foil at 300°F for 10 minutes.
- Dough can be made ahead and refrigerated overnight.
