Description

A quick and comforting fried rice made with fluffy rice, savory hot dogs, eggs, and colorful vegetables, perfect for busy days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups cooked rice, preferably day-old
  • 4 hot dogs, sliced into rounds
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Equipment: Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Beat the eggs in a small bowl and keep all ingredients ready nearby.
  3. Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Add 1 tablespoon of oil to the pan and swirl it around.
  4. Assemble the Dish: Cook the eggs first, scramble them gently, then remove and set aside. Add remaining oil, then cook the sliced hot dogs until lightly browned. Add garlic and vegetables.
  5. Cook to Perfection: Add rice to the pan, breaking up clumps. Pour in soy sauce, salt, and pepper, then mix everything thoroughly.
  6. Finishing Touches: Return the eggs to the pan, toss in green onions, and stir until evenly combined.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Serve hot, straight from the pan.

Notes

  • Use cold, day-old rice for best texture
  • Do not overcrowd the pan
  • Add soy sauce gradually to control flavor
  • Cook hot dogs until slightly crispy for extra taste
