- 2 Wagyu Strip Steaks (about 12 oz each)
- 1/4 cup Hot Honey
- 3 Garlic Cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, whisk together hot honey, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, paprika, olive oil, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Lightly oil the grill grates or skillet to prevent sticking.
- Place the wagyu strip steaks in a zip-top bag or shallow dish and pour in the marinade. Massage gently to coat. Marinate in the fridge for 1–2 hours.
- Remove steaks from marinade, letting excess drip off. Grill for 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare or to your desired doneness.
- Let the steaks rest for 5–10 minutes after cooking. Optional: drizzle with extra hot honey and garnish with rosemary or charred garlic.
- Slice against the grain and serve hot with your favorite sides.
Notes
- Don’t over-marinate wagyu—1–2 hours is plenty to avoid overpowering the natural flavor.
- Let steaks come to room temperature before grilling for even cooking.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure perfect doneness without guesswork.
- Try smoked paprika or chili flakes to adjust the heat level to your taste.
