Description
Juicy smash burgers loaded with creamy jalapeño popper flavors, melty cheddar, and a rich sauce, all stacked inside toasted buns for a bold and satisfying bite.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 burger buns
- 2 jalapeño peppers, thinly sliced
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Heat a cast iron skillet over medium high heat until very hot.
- In a mixing bowl combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until smooth and creamy.
- Lightly toast the burger buns in the skillet or toaster until golden.
- Divide the ground beef into four loose balls. Place each ball in the hot skillet and press firmly with a spatula to flatten.
- Season the patties with salt and black pepper. Cook until crispy around the edges, then flip and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over each patty.
- Spread the creamy sauce over the toasted buns and layer sliced jalapeños on top.
- Place the cheesy patties on the buns, assemble the burgers, and serve immediately while hot.
Notes
- Use high heat to achieve crispy smash burger edges.
- Slice jalapeños thinly so the spice spreads evenly through the burger.
- Let the skillet fully heat before cooking the patties for the best crust.
