Description

A hearty roasted sheet pan dinner made with smoky kielbasa sausage, tender potatoes, sweet bell peppers, and onions tossed in seasoning and finished with a rich barbecue glaze. Everything cooks together on one pan for an easy, flavorful meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 14 ounces kielbasa sausage, sliced into rounds
  • 4 medium potatoes, diced into cubes
  • 2 green bell peppers, chopped
  • 1 medium red onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Equipment: Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl combine the diced potatoes, chopped peppers, red onion, and sliced kielbasa. Add olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss well until evenly coated.
  3. Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  4. Assemble the Dish: Spread the sausage and vegetable mixture evenly across the sheet pan in a single layer. Drizzle the barbecue sauce over the mixture.
  5. Cook to Perfection: Roast for 30 minutes, stirring halfway through so everything browns evenly.
  6. Finishing Touches: Toss the roasted ingredients gently so the sauce coats everything evenly.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Serve hot straight from the pan while everything is tender and caramelized.

Notes

  • Cut the potatoes into evenly sized cubes so they cook at the same rate.
  • Do not overcrowd the sheet pan or the vegetables may steam instead of roast.
  • For extra caramelization roast a few minutes longer until the edges turn golden.
  • Extra barbecue sauce can be served on the side for additional flavor.
