Description

Juicy chicken marinated in fresh lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, and oregano, then cooked until golden and tender with bright, Mediterranean-inspired flavor.


Ingredients

  • Chicken thighs or chicken breasts: 900 grams, boneless and skinless
  • Fresh lemon juice: 80 milliliters
  • Lemon zest: 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil: 60 milliliters
  • Dried oregano: 2 teaspoons
  • Garlic: 4 cloves, finely minced
  • Salt: 1.5 teaspoons
  • Black pepper: 1 teaspoon, freshly ground
  • Paprika: 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, lemon zest, olive oil, dried oregano, garlic, salt, black pepper, and paprika until well combined.
  2. Add the chicken to the bowl and turn each piece until fully coated with the marinade. Let it rest for at least 20 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat until hot.
  4. Place the marinated chicken into the skillet in a single layer and cook for 6 to 7 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked.
  5. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving to keep it juicy.
