- 250 grams spaghetti or linguine
- 400 grams shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta until al dente. Reserve a little pasta water, then drain.
- Season the shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add garlic and onion, sauté until fragrant and softened.
- Add shrimp and cook until just opaque, then remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, stir in tomato paste, heavy cream, and Italian seasoning. Let it simmer gently.
- Add grated parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
- Add cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat evenly. Add a splash of reserved pasta water if needed.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet and mix gently.
- Sprinkle fresh parsley, adjust seasoning, and serve warm.
Notes
- Do not overcook the shrimp to keep them tender.
- Use freshly grated parmesan for a smoother sauce.

- Reheat gently with a bit of cream or water to maintain texture.
