Description
Rich and creamy Nutella Sea Salt Fudge made with chocolate hazelnut spread, smooth melted chocolate, and a touch of flaky sea salt for the perfect sweet and salty bite.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup Nutella chocolate hazelnut spread
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon sea salt flakes
Instructions
- Line an 8 inch square baking pan with parchment paper so the fudge can be removed easily later.
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the Nutella, butter, and chocolate chips together, stirring constantly until smooth and glossy.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and transfer the mixture to a mixing bowl.
- Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract to the warm chocolate mixture and stir thoroughly until the mixture becomes thick and smooth.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan using a spatula.
- Sprinkle sea salt flakes evenly over the surface while the fudge is still soft.
- Allow the fudge to cool at room temperature for about 1 hour, then refrigerate for another hour until fully set.
- Lift the fudge out using the parchment paper and cut into 16 squares before serving.
Notes
- For cleaner cuts, chill the fudge fully before slicing and wipe the knife between cuts.
- Flaky sea salt works best because it adds bursts of flavor without making the dessert too salty.
- Store fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
- This fudge can also be frozen for up to two months.
