  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup dry orzo pasta
  • 1 small yellow onion, finely diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil until shimmering.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, half the diced onion, salt, and pepper. Shape into small meatballs.
  3. Sear the meatballs in batches until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté the remaining onion and garlic until softened.
  5. Add the orzo and toast for 1–2 minutes. Stir in beef broth, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and heavy cream.
  6. Return the meatballs to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 12–15 minutes until the orzo is tender and meatballs are cooked through.
  7. Stir in chopped parsley and let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
  8. Spoon into bowls and garnish with extra parsley if desired.
