- 1 teaspoon brown sugar

Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-low heat.
- Add the sliced onions and cook slowly until soft and golden.
- Stir in the garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Add red chili flakes and paprika, stirring gently to release their flavor.
- Mix in soy sauce and brown sugar, stirring to combine.
- Add the cooked pasta along with a splash of reserved pasta water, tossing until well coated.
- Season with salt and black pepper.
- Finish with chopped fresh parsley and serve warm.
