Description

Ingredients

  • 500 g mascarpone cheese
  • 1½ cups strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs, separated
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • ¼ cup dark chocolate shavings
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk egg yolks with granulated sugar until the mixture becomes pale and creamy.
  2. Add mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract to the yolk mixture and whisk until smooth and fully combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the mascarpone mixture until light and airy.
  5. Dip the panettone cubes briefly into the cooled brewed coffee so they absorb flavor without becoming overly soggy.
  6. Arrange a layer of the coffee soaked panettone cubes in a serving dish.
  7. Spread a generous layer of the mascarpone cream mixture over the bread.
  8. Repeat layering the soaked panettone and mascarpone cream until all ingredients are used.
  9. Dust the top evenly with cocoa powder and sprinkle dark chocolate shavings.
  10. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving so the layers set and flavors blend.

  • Do not oversoak the panettone to maintain its structure.
