A sizzling and comforting bowl of udon noodles tossed with juicy beef, sweet corn, and a rich egg yolk that melts into a savory, glossy sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200 grams udon noodles
  • 200 grams thinly sliced beef
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup sweet corn
  • 3 tablespoons chopped green onions
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium high heat until very hot.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce and minced garlic.
  3. Add a bit of oil to the skillet and let it heat.
  4. Add beef and cook until browned, then push to one side and add noodles and corn.
  5. Pour the sauce over everything and toss gently while cooking for 2 to 3 minutes.
  6. Add butter and crack eggs on top, let them cook slightly.
  7. Mix everything together so the yolk coats the noodles, then top with green onions and black pepper and serve.

Notes

  • Use high heat for the best sizzling effect.
  • Do not overcook the egg to keep the yolk creamy.
  • Adjust soy sauce to taste if needed.
