Description

A silky-smooth persimmon dessert layered with whipped cream and toasted nuts, perfect for a light, naturally sweet treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large ripe persimmons, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans, toasted
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place a metal mixing bowl and beaters in the fridge or freezer for 10 minutes to chill.
  2. In the chilled bowl, beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  3. Slice persimmons thinly and toast chopped nuts in a dry pan for 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Layer persimmon slices on a serving plate, add a dollop of whipped cream, and repeat if desired.
  5. Chill assembled dessert in the fridge for 10 minutes to let flavors meld.
  6. Sprinkle toasted nuts and cinnamon (if using) on top. Optional: add a pinch of flaky sea salt.
  7. Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use very ripe persimmons for best flavor and texture.
  • Toast nuts ahead to enhance aroma and crunch.
  • Chill cream bowl for fluffier whipped cream.
  • Assemble just before serving for optimal texture.
