Description

Crispy, golden popcorn chicken that’s juicy on the inside and perfectly crunchy on the outside. A bite-sized favorite perfect for snacking, parties, or a fun dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In one bowl, mix flour, breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs.
  4. Dip each piece of chicken into the egg mixture, then coat with the flour mixture, pressing gently to ensure the coating sticks.
  5. Fry the chicken in small batches for 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Double-coat the chicken for extra crunch.
  • Use a kitchen thermometer to keep oil at the right temperature.
  • Try marinating the chicken in buttermilk for a few hours for added tenderness and flavor.
