- 3 garlic cloves, finely minced
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat until ready for frying.
- In a mixing bowl, combine mashed potatoes, shredded cheese, flour, cornstarch, egg, salt, black pepper, and dried parsley. Mix until a smooth dough forms.
- Place breadcrumbs in a shallow dish for coating.
- Shape the potato mixture into sticks, then roll each stick in breadcrumbs until fully coated.
- Fry the sticks in hot oil until golden brown and crispy on all sides, about 3 to 4 minutes.
- Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Mix yogurt with minced garlic to prepare the dipping sauce.
- Serve the sticks warm with garlic yogurt sauce.
