Description

- 1 pound raw shrimp (large, tail-on)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large lemon (zest and juice)
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter to the pan.
- Once melted, add garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
- Add remaining butter, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Stir gently.
- Let the sauce simmer for 1–2 minutes to thicken slightly.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley and toss to combine.
- Serve hot over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.
Notes
- Use fresh garlic for best flavor.
- Don’t overcook shrimp, they cook quickly.
- Double the sauce if serving over pasta.
- For a creamier version, add a splash of heavy cream.
